Consulting
Do you have a team or staff members who need to work more effectively and deliver more with less? This is a common challenge faced by teams and can be due to a multitude of reasons - new or different products or goals to deliver, post-reorganization changes, cost challenges or changing strategies. What you need to deliver remains straightforward, the key is HOW to deliver.
By building trust quickly in the team through engaging team dynamics workshops I can help you see the natural strengths across the team, I can help you define and deliver programs of work where the whole team feel included in decision-making and more accountable for their outcomes.
Why Me?
Examples of workshops:
- Follow the sun training programs – Technical or Ways of Working
- Strategy workshops – defining goals for the team/organization
- Gap analysis workshops – including process mapping
- Post re-organization setting of themes and creating mission statements and Why of the team
- Team building events of virtual teams – end of year/mid year events to celebrate/inspire teams
Do you know the skills of the team need to change but not sure where or how?
Do you have gut feeling that you need to focus on different things? Changing skillsets due to AI or new workflows. Changing strategies or priorities. Are your staff motivated to proactively upskill their technical strengths but don’t see the value of team effectiveness or leadership skills?
By taking a robust, data centric view of the situation I use qualitative and quantitative data collection to fully understand the challenges faced by your teams and then plan a program of events to close those gaps.
Why Me?
I’ve delivered multiple programs based on data driven decisions. Company or team X will not have the same challenges and solutions for another. They may be similar in some places, but a cookie-cutter approach is unrealistic in teams of people with varying backgrounds skills and experiences.
This might sound time consuming but can be turned around quickly using a robust data collection methods and technology to identify areas of focus for the future whilst still maintaining a personal approach and talking and listening to staff.
Examples of data driven programs:
Are your technical teams full of amazing technical skills ? Great!
What is often lacking is the ability to translate the technical importance or relevance to business stakeholders. Whether this is under the umbrella of change or programme management, being able to translate the technical capabilities into realistic deliverables with governance structures and KPIs whilst still maintaining people and technical credibility is a skill rarely found and often spans multiple teams making a disjointed process.
Why Me?
Throughout my technical career I am used to working with highly technical staff who are brilliant at their bit but we need to understand the whole technology adoption cycle to make sure the right products are being asked of, being delivered and what the definition of done is and agreed by ALL stakeholders. Teams use a variety of methods to deliver technology usually today in some form of Agile, but there is frequently a disconnect with the tech teams working and the business as a customer. These can come from poorly defined KPIs or feedback mechanisms, by bringing stakeholders together and building joint KPIs and defining success together, an improved outcome for all is achieved.
Examples of work:
- People and Technology transformation of community integrating two major fortune 100 global organizations
- Technology adoption for Global tech leading company in Energy Industry
- Value definition and branding of ecosystem of Internally developed technology platform used in 29 locations by over 2000 users in a fortune 100 global organization
